The SEC hosted its 45th Annual Small Business Forum on March 9, 2026, at SEC headquarters in Washington D.C., and via webcast. Organized by the Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation, the forum featured remarks from each of the Commissioners and thoughtful discussions with members of the public and private sectors to collaborate and provide suggestions to improve policy affecting how entrepreneurs, small businesses, and smaller public companies raise capital from investors.

Policy Recommendations

  • Following the forum, the Commission will deliver a report to Congress that summarizes the forum proceedings, including the recommendations developed by participants for changes to improve the capital-raising framework and the Commission’s responses to those recommendations.
