Message from the Chairman

On my appointment as Chairman, I noted that it is a new day at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as we return to our core mission of protecting investors, maintaining fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitating capital formation. This work, described more fully in the pages that follow, is as relevant and essential today as it was when Congress first entrusted us with it over 90 years ago. Together with my fellow Commissioners, Congress, and SEC staff, I look forward to ensuring that the United States is well-positioned to seize on the new excitement for investment and economic opportunity that President Trump’s leadership and pro-growth policies have inspired. [more . . .]
